BOYS ARRESTED FOLLOWING JOY RIDE

#ARREST | On Sunday 2nd July at around 2am we were called to the Boundary Drive estate following a third party report of a road traffic collision involving a blue Ford Puma.

Officers attended and located the vehicle in Alstonefield Close where two young males made off from the vehicle. After a brief area search the two young males were also located.

Upon investigation it transpired that the two young males had taken the vehicle without the owners consent and had caused damage to the body work and blown two tyres. 

The two 16-year-old males, from Tamworth, were arrested for aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving in addition to driving without a licence and without insurance.

Both have since been released on conditional bail.
